Menina ceramic figure, an artistic interpretation of one of the characters in the famous painting by Velázquez, created by the contemporary artist Rosa Luis Elordui.

This ceramic figurine has been created using ancient techniques of the respectable pottery art. In the first stage of the creation, the artist creates the design of the piece, models it in refractory clay, which is subsequently baked at a temperature of 1280 ° C and, after completing this process, takes a brush and gives it the last one, but not least important, touch of decoration to the figure with porcelain slip and, in the case of this menina model, also with metallic oxides.
