Parrot
Ceramic figure of a white parrot. Handmade.
Without a doubt, when we hear the word "parrot" the first thing that comes to mind is an image of a pirate captain with his faithful friend on top of his shoulder, his parrot. A fictitious image, invented by Robert Louis Stevenson, the writer of "The Island of Treasure". Actually, parrots have been rather an exotic merchandise for pirates. But we appreciate these birds also for their intelligence, which is one of the largest in the world of birds, not only for its beauty.
This ceramic sculpture transmits us perfectly these both remarkable qualities of a parrot. The master combination of colors, the original texturization of the figure and the golden details of the decoration, highlight the magnificent beauty of the plumage of this bird. The posture that artisans have chosen for this sculpture of parrot and the gaze which is sending us the bird, show the great intelligence of this amazing animal.
