Lion Baby

A ceramic lion child.

Intelligent and fierce, the most sociable feline, this nap lover (the lions sleep between 15 and 20 hours a day), came to our heart with the history of Simba, the King of the jungle. Since then, every lion reminds us of this wonderful character. This is the case of this ceramic figure, which represents a lion child.

Despite the contemporary stylization of the figure, the finish of this ceramic lion presents clear links with the real image of this animal. The features, the hairy texture of the body and even the special shine of it's eyes, are so well expressed, that it seems that a real lion was posing for the artisans of the De Rosa brand, when they was ceating this sculpture.
