Baby Panda
Descripción
Is there any animal more endearing than a panda? Their big eyes and their affectionate and graceful behavior make them one of the animals that awaken the most tenderness in us. In China, their native territory, they are called "giant cat bear". But this is not so much because of their affable character, but because of their vertical pupils, which resemble those of cats, and also because the appearance of their newborn cubs resembles that of a small feline. A couple of curious facts are that panda bears at birth weigh only 1/900 of their adult weight, that is, between 90 and 140 gr, and that their childhood stage lasts 24 months. Their typical teddy bear appearance, for which we know them, they achieve around one year of age.
The artisans of the De Rosa firm wanted to represent a panda bear precisely at this stage of its development, the tenderest stage, of course. A ceramic figure created by hand and applying the characteristic finish of this family pottery firm.
