The Contract

This monster bird with helmet carries a pencil box and an inkwell in his beak, in which the nun, decomposing into a pig, dips her pen. A severed foot dangles from the bird's helmet, referring to the horrible corporal punishments that could await in hell. The pig, truly an accusation against the decaying life of the clergy, tempts the man sitting next to him, and it appears that he is preparing a contract. Is the man possibly selling his soul?
